Why have you become a trainer:After becoming an empty nester, I felt I was serving little purpose in this crazy world. I started researching Personal Training and new it was for me. I love people and with our epidemic levels of obesity and overweight citizens, I wanted to help them get fit and healthy for a better life. After working in clubs for 9 months, I realized many who truly needed help could not afford a club trainer. I used everything I had and opened up my own studio to help remedy this problem... What in your opinion is the biggest mistake people make while working out:Improper technique... Too much or too little weight or resistance. Many cannot get the help they need at gyms and use the machines by mimicking others, who are also using improper technique. The average person will not push themselves to exhaust their muscles as with a trainer. Many work out too much (days a week) many too little. There should be a program you follow with realistic starting and ending goal. Patience is also a common mistake.
Why should a client train with you:I LOVE people. I work hard writing clients programs specifically designed for their body, lifestyle and goals. I work closely with them in regards to the 3 ingredients of nutrition, cardio and strength training. I read up constantly on breaking research and opinions from ACSM, making sure I offer my clients the most current news. My clients success has and will keep giving me true purpose for the rest of my working days...no doubt!
