What is your training style:I like to train by teaching combined with a challenging workout. I feel my job is to teach clients how to perform exercises correctly and why explain how and why the exercise is performed. In addition I feel it is important to incorporate a challenging workout at the same time. I want the client to understand how and why exercises are performed and to understand why it is important to continue with the lifestyle of training. The workouts are completely tailored to the clients goals.
In general, please describe your experience:I have worked with all ages and populations in my seven years of experience. I have trained people of all ages, abilities and goals. I have worked in a health club, clinic, and school settings. My greatest experience has come from working multiple positions at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester and also through my personal training experience at a health club. My certifications include the two best for my position and I enjoy working with all types of people.
How would you help an overweight client lose weight:I would begin with nutritional education and then dive into the science and importance of the means of all the components essential to a successful weight loss program. I believe these to include proper nutrition, cardio, resistance training, and also correct supplementation all combined with an individualized training program and diet. To simplify I try to create a lifestyle change by burning more than is consumed on a daily basis and that will result in weight loss.
