What in your opinion is the biggest mistake people make while working out:People make the mistake of either working out too much or too little. There are individuals who want to lose weight and think that spending hours of their time on the treadmill is the ticket. That will not provide the best results and eventually the person will quit. Other individuals want to strength train but are afraid of bulking up so they don't lift enough weight. I try to explain to individuals how much everyday items weigh so they realize they can lift more than what they think.
Why should a client train with you:I am human. I have my own behaviors to modify, my own injuries from sports and over use, and my own weaknesses. Therefore, I can relate to my clients. I am very personable and create an environment where individuals can feel welcomed and not intimidated. Whether it's weight loss, sports conditioning, or just toning, I feel strongly about working our core muscles. I push when a person needs to be pushed. I hold back when a person is not having such a good day!
In general, please describe your experience:A fitness and sports enthusiast, I got into personal training to work in a field I love. I have trained at the YMCA, private personal training studios, and a physical therapy clinic. I am certified in personal training, yoga, kickboxing, and pre/post-natal fitness. In addition I hold a degree in Exercise Physiology. After working in various environments, I have opened my own fitness studio and feel that I offer a very welcoming environment that helps individuals meet their Healthy Goals!!
