Why have you become a trainer:In my freshman year at UCLA I led a very unhealthy lifestyle. I gained about 45-50lbs and had a lot of unexplained health issues. I felt sick all the time and the doctors were not giving me the magic pill that I was looking for. That is when I decided to take action and make health my priority. I enrolled myself in UCLA's Personal Training program so I can learn more to help myself. After I finished the program, I began to help others achieve their goals.
What other skills do you bring to the table besides your training experience:I bring personal experience to the table. I can better relate to my clients because I have been through the struggles of becoming fit myself. I know what works and what does not work. Motivation is also key in fitness because motivation is what is going to make you stick with your program. I inspire my clients to do their best and to make healthy lifestyle choices that will last them a life time.
In general, please describe your experience:After I completed UCLA's training program, I became a volunteer trainer at the Marilyn Hilton Multiple Sclerosis Achievement Center (MSAC) at UCLA. About a year later, I became a private trainer at The Los Angeles Athletic Club in downtown Los Angeles. I currently work part time at The Sports Club/LA in West Los Angeles and I also do private training sessions at people's homes. I love working with people and making a difference in their lives.
