What in your opinion is the biggest mistake people make while working out:Often times individuals try to see results to quickly. Although it is important to work hard you should be cognizant of your current fitness level prior to beginning training. By starting out at a realistic intensity level you will reduce the incidence of injury and be able to train harder as you become accustomed to exercise. Fitness is a component of a healthy life, not just a fad that will make us skinnier.
Have you done any volunteer work:I have completed internships in all kinds of places that have exposed me to various types of individuals with individual needs. I have completed an internship in physical therapy where injuries were rehabilitated, a fitness center where apparently healthy individuals improved fitness, and cardiac rehab where cardiac patients used exercise to rehabilitate their cardiovascualr system. By working with these various patients and clients I have gained knowledge of a wide variety of individuals.
Why should a client train with you:As a trainer I am able to bring out the best in my clients. I am able to work with the client to maximize their time and their goals. Each individual is looking for a different benefit from exercising. I can adapt to any type of individual through my experience with various populations. I believe in pushing the individual to where they are comfortable. Exercise should induce a lifetime change not a temporary fix to a few extra pounds.
