What is your training style:Two things really dictate my training style. One is the belief that ANYONE can exercise and be successful withing a fitness routine. It is just a matter of designing a program that is comfortable, appropriate and most importantly practical for that individual's life style and schedule. Secondly, an exercise program must be tailored to not only meet the individual's short term and long term goals but must also take into account any existing or previous health concerns.
What in your opinion is the biggest mistake people make while working out:The biggest mistake people make when working out is not exercising at the appropriate level. I have found throughout my 10 years of training experience is that most people either don't do enough which leads to a lack of results and eventually non-participation, or they OVER do their workouts and don't give the body the proper time to recover which also inhibits their ability to achieve their goals. Also, I've discovered most of my clients have to learn better nutritional habits.
In general, please describe your experience:During my almost 10 years experience as a certified Health Fitness Instructor I've worked over 400 clients, all with unique goals, barriers, and health concerns. I've trained individual with knee & hip replacements, diabetes, heart disease, asthma, Parkinson's disease, arthritis, osteoporosis, orthopedic concerns & those who are apparently healthy. I've trained clients as young as 7 all the way up to age 101. I've trained clients in their homes and at several different clubs.
