What is your training style:My training style is firm but considerate. I will push you within your limits while addressing restrictions to help you attain physical, nutritional, and emotional goals. Gradual progression and patience are the keys to success. Improving your quality of movement is a function of improving the quality of your life and my approach emphasizes core function and range of motion, followed by strength and power (if applicable) An inside-out approach.
Why should a client train with you:I have been able to learn from the top trainers and researchers in San Diego and Connecticut. My drive for continuing education and pursuit of my master's degree ensures that I am constantly on the edge of the latest trends and information in the fitness field. I will listen to your needs and address additional concerns I might see as we train together (i.e. postural misalignments, muscle imbalances, etc.). It is very important to me that you are seeing the results you came to get.
How would you help an overweight client lose weight:First and foremost, nutrition would be assessed and emphasized throughout training. Aerobic ability is established and weight training is stressed as a priority with proper guidance. Logs would be used for nutrition, goal setting and evaluation to help identify and change behaviors associated with weight gain and any bad habits. I try to give each client the tools necessary to succeed but the hard work ultimately comes from them while I work as a consistent motivator and supporter.
