What is your training style:Jodi uses the guidelines established by the American College of Sports Medicine when developing personal fitness programs to help clients achieve their goals. All services are provided in clients’ homes or in a private studio. For in-home services, Jodi uses whatever equipment each client has to its maximum effectiveness. Depending on the client, that might mean a full gym, or it might mean equipment as simple as a treadmill, ankle weights, dumbbells, and a balance ball.
Why have you become a trainer:Jodi is a self-declared “fitness nut” who chose this profession because she wanted to share her passion and energy with others. Jodi ran in the Boston Marathon last month. Now she is practicing yoga and running shorter runs. Jodi’s services are unique in that she combines personal training and fitness with massage and relaxation methods. She is certified in deep tissue, Swedish, sports, and Reiki massage, as well as acupressure; additionally, she teaches Hatha yoga.
What other skills do you bring to the table besides your training experience:Jodi Knox is a motivational, energetic physiologist and massage therapist with the ability to effectively convey her expertise in exercise and body mechanics to each individual client. She holds a master’s and bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Southern Connecticut State University and is a certified massage therapist. Her experience in exercise physiology goes back 12 years, with five years of experience in personal training and massage.
