What in your opinion is the biggest mistake people make while working out:When setting goals, any kind of goals, it is imperative to have specific action plans with milestones and celebrations for small successes along the way. This is no different with weight training or weight loss. I think the biggest mistake people make is losing accountability. They lose interest and accountability and often lose sight of the initial goal itself due to the lack of a clear daily action plan.
Why should a client train with you:I encourage my clients to take inventory of their current state of health and use a holistic approach to help them make the physical and changes they want to see. This includes nutrition, flexibility, resistance training, cardio, massage and yoga. I provide healthy options for the client and as they eventually feel better they want to feel even better, eliminating the unhealthy choices that plagued their lives previously. It is a snowball effect.
What is your training style:Holistic, functional, balanced. I believe strength, agility and flexibility are the key to staying fit. Each client comes to me with different circumstances and I provide the motivation and combination of tools to help them change their lives. The ultimate goal is lifestyle change. I become part of the holistic approach, often becoming very close to each individual, helping them become stronger with a healthier lifestyle they can sustain on their own.
Have you done any volunteer work:I am a foster parent for the animals at Safe Harbor Animal Shelter on Indiantown Rd. in Jupiter Florida. Safe Harbor cares for sick, abused and abandoned animals and has an adoption center for them to be able to find a new home when they are healthy again. Please visit them if you can help.
I teach a yoga class at the beach for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. I think the physical and emotional benefits from the asanas and mindful breathing are so important in todays world.
