What is your training style:My training style is all about empowering my client to take charge of his or her emotional and physical fitness. I am positive and enthusiastic, focussing more on the small step by step changes accomplished. I believe in progress, not perfection. Any change that happens over night is a short term change. I am a firm believer in the power of relationship and focus on the true needs of my client. Change comes from within: It is an inside - out job. Anyone can do it.
What do you think about the latest trends in the fitness industry:Fitness studios, designed for more personal attention, seem to be an attractive, and popular, choice for those clients who can afford it and feel they will accomplish more with such personalized attention. Teaching clients to get fit on their own turf, in their own space, is teaching them to fit fitness conveniently into their daily lives. This would be a long term and lasting behavior change. Isn't that the goal?
What other skills do you bring to the table besides your training experience:In addition to being a Health and Fitness Instructor through the American College of Sports Medicine, I am a Nationally Certified Recreation Therapist. Both certifications assist in me focussing on the emotional as well as the physical needs of my clients. I have worked with children, adults, and seniors throughout my career. I was a competitive athlete for many years and know the power of positive rienforcement and praise.
