What other skills do you bring to the table besides your training experience:I received my undergraduate, 1996 and Master of Arts in Teaching Physical Education with an emphasis in Sports Medicine, 1999 from the University of West Alabama. I also attended the Utah College of Massage Therapy in Salt Lake City, Utah to expand my overall knowledge about massage & bodywork therapy, as well as a holistic approach to health and healing. In addition to my degree, I am also certified under National Athletic Trainers' Association, 1999, National Strength and Conditioning 1996.
Why should a client train with you:In addition to personal training ability, I also function as a sports medicine specialist/massage therapist who can conduct pre-participation physical examinations/medical history, prevention, first-aid/treatment, evaluation/recognition, and rehabilitation of a variety of musculoskeletal injuries, and referring athletes to team physicians. Olympic-style-lifts, speed development, and plyometric drills under the direct supervision of an NSCA-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
In general, please describe your experience:I was the Interim Head Athletic Trainer for North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Athletic Department. Prior to that, I was the Head Athletic Trainer/HPER Instructor for Hampton University Athletic and Health, Physical Education & Recreation Departments. In 2002, I was an Independent Athletic Trainer for Mississippi Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center. In 2001, I was the Head Athletic Trainer/HPER Instructor for Mississippi Valley State University Athletic.
