Why have you become a trainer:I started working at a gym at the age of 16. There was a trainer there that I would shadow from time to time. I was inspired by seeing so many positive lifestyle changes that his clients where going through just by engaging in a regular exercise program. So much so that I decided to pursue a career in fitness and start my own business.
What is your training style:I start everyone out the same by determining their needs, limitations, and goals. I perform thorough interveiws and fitness testing that involves identifying dietary needs, physical needs, fitness level, physical limitations, and lifestyle limitations. From the information gathered a unique program is developed and talored specific to that individual.
In general, please describe your experience:I have been working in the fitness industry for well over fourteen years twelve of which personal training. My spectrum of experiances includes working in health clubs as a personal trainer and manager, working in the Clinical Exercise Physiology and Energy Balance Weight Loss labratories for the University of Kansas, and finally to running my own business (Fitness Prescriptions) for the last year.
