Do you think a personal trainer should be also a good salesman:I believe that the results and the reputation of the trainer should be the main selling point. I don't like to try to self myself to a client, i prefer to let my skilss do the selling. A good salesman can sell a bad product, but once you've bought the product would you buy it again? Of course not. That is why it is my belief to introduce the service, offer a free session, let the client sample the service and if the service is worth it, the client will pay for it in the end.
What other skills do you bring to the table besides your training experience:In addition to personal training I live the fitness lifestyle(unlike many so called trainers today). I am very actively involved in competitive powerlifting and martial arts. Also, I have volunteered my time to help as strength and conditioning coach for Lafayette College wresetling program. I am always looking for new challenges and constantly trying to better myself not only as a fitness professional but as an athlete and role model as well.
Why should a client train with you:Clients should train with me because they are guaranteed to meet their health and fitness goals. Clients I currently continue to train with me year after year, knowing that each year they WILL meet their goals. When i take on a new client, I take a vow to put in my best effort to make sure they are satisfied with their time spent training with me. Not only do my clients have my undicided time during our hour of training, but I spend countless hours on them outside the workout time as well.
