Why have you become a trainer:I have always had a passion for fitness. It has been in the past year that I have really taken more interest in it and studied more aspects into health, exercise and nutrition to help better my life. I love helping people and being around people and make the decision that by becoming a personal trainer, I would be able to share my knowledge with others and in turn make a difference in their life and their health.
What in your opinion is the biggest mistake people make while working out:People that have incorrect form, such as using momentum to lift heavy weights or not exercising through a full range of motion are making a huge mistake and setting themselves not only for injury, but they are also producing less-than-optimal results. When they have incorrect form, some people also tend to rush through the exercise, and this can also result in injury and is not beneficial as an strength training exercise.
Describe your own workout program:My workouts consist of 3 days of strength training, which consist of full body workouts using super sets. I also use dumbbells, as I feel they give me more of a workout than do machines. Immediately following my strength training workouts, I do 10-15 minutes of interval exercise, either on the elliptical machine or the stationary bike. On my off days, I like to do recovery cardio, such as walking or I do stretching or roll on the foam roller to help with sore muscles.
