Why have you become a trainer:I became a training because I was inspired by my own experience with a personal trainer and I like to help people.
I was 35 lbs overweight a few years ago and I was extremely unhappy with my appearance. I decided to work with a trainer and lose the weight. I received an enormous amount of assistance with my diet and a great exercise program. In about 6 months I had lost the weight and started personal training school. The rest is history.
What in your opinion is the biggest mistake people make while working out:People tend to over do it by lifting weights that are too heavy for them rather than focus on form. Sacrificing form for the amount of weight can do the following:
1) Increase the chance of injury.
2) Person does not achieve the right results, which can cause them to get discourage and abandon working out all together.
People should customize their workout regimen to suit their needs and stay focused.
Why should a client train with you:There are 3 reasons why a client should train with me:
1) I have been there. I believe my own personal experience inspires my clients and allows me to be a little more sensitive to their needs.
2) I understand that I am not only a trainer and I am also a motivator.
3) I use both sides of the equation to help clients to acheive their goals, healthful diet + exercise = optimal results. I offer to pay for my clients initial consult with a registered dietitian.
