Do you think a personal trainer should be also a good salesman:I do believe a trainer has a responsibility to sell their services. I have a passion for helping people become fit and healthy for a lifetime. Anyone who has struggled with issues of weight management, getting lean, re-evaluating life habits knows that the task is daunting and you need help. Most people have a difficult time making the decision to spend Money on their health and fitness. A personal trainer gets you there quick and without injury. But you have to sell the concept.
What other skills do you bring to the table besides your training experience:As well as a degree in Psychology, I am a certified lifestyle counselor. That means that I encourage my clients to make changes that they can live with for a lifetime by making small changes, one step at a time. My experience with life has helped me to relate well to individuals who are having a difficult time keeping their motivation strong and working through to realize their goals of health and fitness.
In general, please describe your experience:I started out many years ago as a group exercise instructor which I worked at while also working at a corporate job. I realized that I wanted to get out of the corporate world and pursue my passion for fitness. I became an instructor in local corporations for group fitness, then attained my Personal Training Certification. I started my own small business going home to home and now own my own personal training studio. The journey continues!
