Why have you become a trainer:At one time I tipped the scale at 205lbs. I lost the weight naturally. No supplements, just hard work. I became enthralled with the human body and what can be achieved via diet and exercise. I began developing programs for others while studying for my degree. The bottom line is, I'm a trainer because I love working with people & seeing them achieve their goals!
What is your training style:As a Core trainer, I incorporate functional movements with the traditional. I begin with objective/subjective information which pertains to lifestyle, health and goals and then move on to a postural analysis noting specifically any postural distortion patterns. A program is then designed to achieve the clients goals. Making exercise fun and productive is the goal!
In general, please describe your experience:I began my career by writing programs for friends and people who saw my work-outs and wanted to learn more about the Core method. I then worked as Head Trainer for a gym for 3 years. I am now an independent contractor. I write articles on all aspects of fitness and hold a lecture series on fitness over 40. My greatest joy at this time is running a fitness class for children. I also hold a group class for seniors once a week.
