What in your opinion is the biggest mistake people make while working out:The biggest mistake folks make when working out is usually on several levels. First, the mistake is very simple, such as breathing, form, or mind muscle connection. Secondly, if these are correct, people will usually not be doing the correct rep ranges and programs for their specific goal, thus wasting a ton of their valuable time and energy. Finally, diet is often off track on the persons specific goal.
Describe your own workout program:My own workout program varies depending on the clients goals and needs. However, I will usually begin by a 5 minute treadmill warm up, followed by the actual workout which consists of ascending reps, descending reps, pyramids, circuits, general full body or split workouts, and ending with stretching techniques to promote recovery and reduce injury.
It is highly important that the trainer is implementing accountability into his workouts also.
Do you think a personal trainer should be also a good salesman:I strongly believe a personal trainer must be able to be a good salesman in that he must believe in his training before he can convince others to believe in it.
Everyone sells, whether it be dentists selling braces, politicians selling why he is the best candidate, to the basketball player making his case to the coach that he should start over someone of equal ability.
Most trainers who do not believe that selling is important...probably won't be trainers too much longer...
