Why have you become a trainer:I became a trainer because I have a passion for health and fitness. I enjoy helping change peoples lives and helping my clients learn a healthy lifestyle. I started as a college athlete and I learned from there how to be healthy. I took what I learned and got certified after college. I now have 33 active clients that I work with on a full time basis. Some at the gym I contract through and some that I work with in their homes.
Describe your own workout program:Right now I split my strength training into a five day program. one day I'll do chest and back, then bi's and tri's, then shoulders and legs. I do core training twice a week. I really gear my workouts toward circuit training and super setting. I also mix in cardio four days per week. I'll do HIIT twice a week on the arc trainer or treadmill. I do steady rate cardio once per week and I' run hills and sprint once a week.
Do you think a personal trainer should be also a good salesman:A personal trainer must be a solid salesman. You have to be able to sell yourself and your product. Your product being fitness so I think it's important to be in good physical shape yourself. If you cant keep yourself in shape how is anyone going to think you can get them in shape! A friendly personality and a great sense of humor also helps. There are a lot of trainers at my gym and I want clients to seek me out and be drawn towards me.
