Why have you become a trainer:I became a trainer so that I could help promote exercise and nutrition as a way of life. I have always been involved in sports and around the fitness world, and through that I have created a passion for exercise and nutrition. I want to inspire others to lead a healthy lifestyle, and I hope to make a difference in people's lives. I enjoy working with people, and there is no better feeling than when someone you are working with reaches his/her goals.
Have you done any volunteer work:I volunteered at a cardiac rehab. There I was able to see the benefits of exercise in medical setting. This was a very rewarding job because I was able to help people start over. The patients were given a second chance, and one of the min components towards their recovery was exercise and nutrition. Inspiring people who have just overcome surgery/cardiac event is amazing; exercise is such an important tool that can help many, and I hope to show this to people.
Why should a client train with you:I have a background working with athletes, in physical therapy and chiropractic offices, in a cardiac rehab, and as a trainer. I have a BS in Exercise/Sport Science, and I am currently finishing a M.S. In Kinesiology. I understand how the body works and how exercise and nutrition can affect it. I look at the individual and tailor a workout program that is specific to that person. No two people are exactly the same, which is the approach I take when working with clients.
