What is your training style:My training style is based on determining my client's goals/needs, making a long-term plan to successfully reach and maintain the goals, and empowering the individual to be knowledgeable and confident enough to continue their success without my help. I work to educate my clients about correct posture, exercise technique, nutritional habits, and I explain the purpose of their training sessions. The more educated a client becomes, the better their results will be when they exercise on their own.
What in your opinion is the biggest mistake people make while working out:Perhaps the biggest mistake that people make while working out is not having a program that addresses all of their goals/needs. To compound this problem people generally do not know when to change their program or what types of changes to make. A common example is designing a program and thinking it is complete because they include resistance and cardio training for all their major muscle groups. This may be a good start, but chances are this person is muscle imbalances that are being ignored.
What other skills do you bring to the table besides your training experience:I have many other skills, because I strive to become knowledgeable in many different aspects of health & fitness. I have taken a number of post-certification courses, such as scientific core conditioning, Swiss ball training, exercise nutrition, etc. I also have experience with postural assessment & correction, post-rehab exercise (back/hip/shoulder), performance enhancement, & sports psychology. In addition, I am a nutritional consultant and I have worked in health food and supplement stores.
