What in your opinion is the biggest mistake people make while working out:In my opinion, correct form and posture are the key components when working out. As a personal trainer, I work in two different gyms and I constantly see people working out with horrible form.
Form can make all the difference when working out. When working out with correct form, the muscles are being built properly and correct weight training works with the human body to make our framework that much stronger and efficient. Meanwhile, repetitive bad posture and form can cause acute injury.
Describe your own workout program:A typical workout program given by me would consist of a variety. I give my clients a 5-6 day/week work out plan that consists of cardio, total body exercises (focusing his or her goals), and of course stretching. I incorporate free weights, selectorized weight machines, group fitness classes, & what I call "free style fitness"(i.e.using a fit ball, bosu, or dyna disk. My personal training slogan is, "An interactive personal training experience, where enjoyment meets exercise!"
What other skills do you bring to the table besides your training experience:Besides being a American College of Sports Medicine(ACSM)Certified Personal Trainer, I also have experience and other certifications in similar studies. I have worked closely under several Physical Therapists as a PT Technician/Gym Specialist which has given me a ton of useful acquired knowledge of the field. I also work as a Group Fitness Instructor teaching Silver Circuit, Flex & Ride,& formerly Les Mills' BodyCombat(for which I hold a certification). I'm a certified CNA & hold CPR/AED Certs.
