Why have you become a trainer:I dsicovered my passion for training after discovering my own ability to improve my health and fitness through exercise. I grew up with terrible asthma and was told by my doctors to avoid exercise. I found the strength in exercise to gain control of my condition, and have devoted the last 13 years of my life to teaching others to discover their own strengths.
What is your training style:MY training style is designed to maximize the body's ability to communicate with the muscles and teach the client how to challenge their body safely and effectively with a minimum of wasted motion and effort. We refer to it as "The Chile Pepper Approach to Exercise", and it involves "Turning up the Heat" in exercise, recovery, and life.
In general, please describe your experience:I started out training myself and my friends, observing their tendencies and how they compensated for momentary muscle fatigue thru adapted CNS pathways. I developed an approach to exercise that taught the clients how to override their innate "perceived effort" signal and get the rep their body did not want to do. My wife and I apply this approach at our Personal Training/Clinical Exercise Studio and in the health club we run, incorporating nutritional counseling, program design and recovery.
