What is your training style:My sessions primarily consist of dumbbell movements, stability ball core training and floor exercises to tone and shape the body. These are designed to reduce excess body fat, increase lean muscle, and improve your cardio respiratory level. I keep my clients moving without much rest. This is accomplished by training antagonist muscles groups together, while incorporating incline treadmill, step ups, stair climbing and other activites to keep the heart rate up.
In general, please describe your experience:I have dedicated 23 years to living a healthy lifestyle. I began lifting weights in my garage at age 15 and have continued to this day. After graduating from the University of Houston I entered the corporate world but also trained friends on and off for years. Finally I decided to focus on teaching others how to extend their life through exercise. I have been training clients full time for 7 months now and love it.
How would you help an overweight client lose weight:There are 3 parts to losing weight. You Must do all of them to consistently lose weight and keep it off. Weight training, Cardio work and especially nutritional eating all must be followed. Eating 5 meals a day, consisting of a lean protein source, low glycemic carbs and healthy fats are the key to reducing the weight. My experience has taught me that changing peoples food habits are the hardest part of being a Personal Trainer. If they won't change there habits there will be no weight lost!
