What in your opinion is the biggest mistake people make while working out:

I believe that the overall mistake is that people are either uneducated about fitness and health OR uneducated about fitness and health. At my gym, I would say that 80% of people who use the strength training equipment, are using it incorrectly. When they do this they are hurting themselves and not bettering themselves. They are either positioned on the machine incorrectly, doing their reps too fast, lifting too heavy, not lifting heavy enough, or ALL OF THE ABOVE!

Clients should also train with me because I am an educated trainer who is constantly researching information, taking classes and workshops consistently bettering myself and learning more so that I am better able to help my clients! I have a passion for helping others, and I deeply believe that fitness is crucial, we only get one body.

How would you help an overweight client lose weight:

I would explain to that individual that there are three areas in exercise the first is strength training, the second is cardiovascular, and the third being flexibility. I would make them understand the importance of finding a balance between all three and helping them make progress in all three areas. I would require them to do a nutrition consultation with me nutrition is often times at least 75% of the battle so you have to know how to eat, what to eat, and when to eat it!
