What in your opinion is the biggest mistake people make while working out:Many people want to shed a few pounds quickly, start exercising more, maybe tone up a bit and hopefully put down the sweets. But it isn't working, is it? Instead of trying to create the hard body of your dreams from the outside in, start from the inside out. First drink plenty of water, eat whole foods & rest well. Next, build a strong frame with weights, regular flexibility & aerobics. Then, and only then, should you consider adjusting your weight or percent of body fat.
What do you think about the latest trends in the fitness industry:I see a transition from the "Cross-Training" mentality of using different machines and activities to integrate the strength and power to the entire body. We are now moving towards "Core" integrity using exersice balls, rollers, bands, and other simple equipment. These exercise require more awareness that can only come through focus and instruction. I recommend that you take a private yoga, Pilates or Core Training class, where you can ask questions, learn more and create smart goals.
Why should a client train with you:My inspiration for being a Healer came from watching a very old man attempting to walk across the street. His spine was so hunched and bent that he strained his neck to see the next few feet in front of him as he shuffled along a half-step at a time, while the traffic light turns turns red again.
I wondered what could have prevented his suffering, only he knew no better. Now we know better, but we still struggle with how to change. I can create change, healing and growth in your life!
