What is your training style:My training style is highly individualized. I begin by assessing movement patterns of my clients and then working on correcting muscle imbalances. From there we move on to establishing stability in the joints, then increasing strength and finally increasing power. Most clients experience improvements in their activities of daily living within the first few workouts and are impressed with their new-found ease of movement.
Why should a client train with you:I focus on improving my clients' lives through improving their ability to move. The human body is an instrument of movement and many of our physical ailments can be tied directly to our lack of motion. Improving a client's ability to move can increase their confidence in their ability to do many other things in their lives and improve their overall outlook on life. Establishing a solid, stable base is crucial to improving strength and wellness and I see it as my job to help clients do this.
Describe a particularly challenging client you have trained:One of my favorite clients came to me initially with the goal of losing weight and improving her physical abilities. At that time she was unable to stand up straight, her muscle tone and body awareness was nil. Every move she made caused some sort of pain. We began meeting 3 times per week and within the first month she was able to stand up straighter and move with much less pain. Within a few months, she was able to walk with her daughter for 3 hours without needing to take a rest.
