My Introduction:

What is your training style?

Since 1989, Satin Fitness Mobile Training uses a specific training method trademarked-LROME as well as the most comprehensive fitness assessment in the industry. LROME (Limited Range Of Motion Exercise) teaches a client to focus on specific muscle groups, using touch and concentration. LROME and our trainers quiet your environment and get you to key in on small and safe movements. These movements allow a client to get greater strength without lifting heavy weights.

Why have you become a trainer?

Over the past 15 years, we at Satin Fitness have helped many people lose large amounts of weight. One of our clients just lost her 200th pound and ran her first Marathon.

We have become adept at helping clients adjust their thought process and find healthy ways to lose weight. We have found that diets do not work. It is a lifestyle and eating correctly that works.

People start to realize that eating a higher fiber diet and as close to nature as you can is the true way to lose weight.

Please describe how you would train a 45 year old male with type II diabetes in order to lose weight?

There are certain characteristics of a type 1 vs. type 2 diabetic. After an initial fitness assessment and conversation with his doctor, a 45 year old type 2 would need to start very easily and slowly due to obesity (type 2 is usually a treatable condition due to obesity). A strength program to condition his lower body and cardiovascular program that would strengthen his circulatory system would be the starting point.

Describe a particularly challenging client you have trained?

We are working with a 34 year old brain injured client. He was in a coma for 8 months in Japan due to an accident. His family was told to put him into a hospital for life! His family brought him home and we stared training him in the LROME method of exercise. He is now walking with assistance and climbing stairs. He is one of two clients we have worked with who have brain injuries. The other is off at College!
