My Introduction:
What is your training style?
I like to take a friendly but stern approach to helping my clients reach there goals. I only accept clients who are ready to work and ready to work hard! I like to incorporate bodyweight exercises into all prescribed workouts, along with cardio and other forms of resistance training. I make sure to keep sessions fun and easy to do on your own, and supply as many "laugh inducers" as possible! That's what make this job a fun one.
Have you done any volunteer work?
Yes, mostly with children's fitness camps, but recently I began training some of the medical students at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine - GA Campus, to help with stress relief and to instruct on how to stay healthy and fit on a busy schedule. I have also had the opportunity to organized school-wide and community fitness camps and 5K runs at my church and school. Non-fitness wise, I have taken positions as a children's small group leader at my local church and acted as a mentor.
In general, please describe your experience?
I am a fully certified and insured personal trainer that holds a certification with American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). I studied Exercise and Sports Science at Georgia State University and have completed many internships in the fitness field before and after graduating in 2005. In the past few years, I have filled various fitness roles, including supervisor of a community wellness camp for children, wellness coach at a chiropractic facility, and Judo competitor.
