My Introduction:
Have you done any volunteer work?
Yes, I have done quite a number of volunteer work over the years. I was a Girl Scout for fifteen years, after which, I volunteered to become a Girl Scout leader. As a Girl Scout, I did many community service projects as a child growing up and had earned my Girl Scout Silver and Gold Award. After I had graduated high school, I decided to stick around and become a Girl Scout leader, in which I helped young girls earn the awards in which I, myself, had earned at that age.
Do you think a personal trainer should be also a good salesman?
Yes, I believe a personal trainer should be a good salesman. I understand that a personal trainer's job is 20% training and 80% sales. As a trainer, I must sell my expertise to potential clients. I sell my knowledge and skill. I have to sell my personality and be that person that people want and trust. It's not enough to just say, "Trust me, I know what I'm doing." As a personal trainer, I must be able to sell people the idea that I know what I am doing, and I can use my knowledge to help them.
Why should a client train with you?
A client should train with me because I'm the friend who knows what she's doing when it comes to training. I call myself a friend, because I am someone people like to be around, and for people to be motivated to train, the one thing they have to like, is who they're training with- like a friend. I have studied the concept, I have experience being the trainer, and I have experience being the client. I know what it's like to be in the client's shoes, and I know how to be an effective trainer.
