What is your training style?
I use all of the education I've obtained. High Intensity Training with a focus on cardiovascular training, resistance training, functional training, skills that are transferable to real life application. Depending on each persons goals and ability I develop custom programs to guide my clients to excel to point they had not on their own. I also provide assistance with proper nutrition and meal planning.
Why have you become a trainer?
To educate and motivate others to their fitness and lifestyle goals. I an a former high school athlete. In my 20's I was the typical "gym rat" 187lbs 30" waist, 8.2% body fat. But I fell in to a time in my life when I let myself go. At 254lbs size 46" jeans I said "what happened to you?" and set the course for myself and now others to have a better quality of life. My work and my lifestyle are now one.
What in your opinion is the biggest mistake people make while working out?
They overtrain, I understand when people want to change their bodies they want it now. But we just do not change that fast. By being realistic about the outcomes we can measure success by all the little things as they happen. Over time it adds up. The most frustrating thing is to go to a gym and everything and not change or even gain weight! By having proper guidance you can avoid that pitfall, ask me , I can help.
