What in your opinion is the biggest mistake people make while working out?
Most people that begin an exercise program make two major mistakes. First, their exercise program is not designed with their specific goals in mind. There is "randomness" to their program. Without a personalized program aimed at accomplishing your goals, random results will occur. Second, most people do not properly progress their programs. Their exercise program will not change over the next 5, 10+ years. If you do not progress your program, new fitness heights will be achieved!
What other skills do you bring to the table besides your training experience?
I have worked with a lot of people from children and youth to seniors. Each person has a unique way of being reached. I enjoy discovering methods of training that will allow each individual to achieve their best, however their best is defined. I believe listening to clients is very important and often overlooked by many trainers. In order to achieve maximum results, the trainer and client must work together.
Why should a client train with you?
I have been training people for 20+ years. Over those years, I have worked with people with many types of health and physical conditions. Even though I have a strong educational background and a nationally respected certification, experience is extremely important. Many trainers are younger and have limited knowledge of how to properly train a person 40 years and older. I have many people train with me because they don't feel like the club trainers understand how to work with an older body.
